OUR
STORY
The Erie City ELECT Student Parenting Program is a voluntary program that helps parents, or those
expecting a child, and under the age of 22 years old obtain their high school diploma or equivalent.
Both male and female participants are provided with individualized services surrounding:
-
Basic Needs & Resources
-
Prenatal Education
-
Parenting Education
-
Academic & Career Goals
Our grant funding is connected to the Erie County Assistance Office. Thus, we work together towards the following targeted outcomes which are measured annually by the Pennsylvania Departments of Education and Human Services.
"Appreciate parenting while you have it because it really did help with graduating. Don’t take it for granted because it’s FREE and they help us go to school and be a parent at the same time. I know girls who dropped out because they didn’t know about parenting and didn’t have the help they needed."
